It's okay, I'd call it dill ranch though
First I should disclose that I did not have any garlic pepper seasoning on hand so I used the garlic garlic seasoning in its place (it's possible that totally changed the flavor! I'm not sure). I also, like another reviewer, used regular mayo; and I didn't have any buttermilk but wanted to make this low-carb friendly so I used 1/4 cup of cream mixed with 1/4 cup water and 1 tsp of lemon juice in its place (maybe that wrecked it too? who knows). I put it all in a mason jar and shook it up, then placed in the fridge for a couple hours.
The result wasn't what I was hoping for--not that it's bad, it isn't--but I was hoping for something very similar to the Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning packets (used similarly; mixed with mayo and milk, or in my case I use half cream and half water to keep it low carb and it works beautifully). It's definitely not as flavorful as that, and dill is the primary herb I taste (and I do love dill! Just not as the overpowering flavor in my ranch dressing). All that said, it's not bad, it's just not as good as I was expecting.

My favorite homemade ranch dip/dressing!
This dressing is full of flavor! My husband gobbles it up every time I make it. Thin it out for a dressing or make without milk for a thick ranch dip. Serve with veggies, chips or pretzels.
