Merlot & Mushroom Shredded Beef Sandwiches Recipe

  • 2 lbs. beef chuck roast
  • 1 Tbsp. Sea Salt & Herb Seasoning (not ground)
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 8 oz. pkg. sliced fresh button mushrooms
  • Merlot & Mushroom Slow Cooker Sauce
  • 10-12 hamburger buns
  • 10-12 slices provolone cheese

Rub roast with Sea Salt & Herb Seasoning. Place in a 3-quart or larger slow cooker. Top with onions, mushrooms and Merlot & Mushroom Slow Cooker Sauce. Cook on low 6-8 hours or until beef is fork tender and shreds easily. Shred beef and place back in sauce. Serve beef on buns with cheese slices. Makes 6-8 servings. 

Make ahead & freeze
Place seasoned roast and onions in a gallon resealable freezer bag. Label and freeze. Thaw and prepare as directed above.
