Little Double Deckers Recipe

These fun sliders are a homage to the fast-food giant’s iconic full-sized version.

  • 2 pounds 85% lean ground beef
  • 6 slices American-style Cheddar cheese, cut into quarters
  • 18 slider buns, toasted
  • ½ cup minced white onion
  • 1½ cups shredded lettuce
  • 24 dill pickle slices
  • Melted butter, sesame seeds, optional

  1. In large bowl, combine ground beef and Seasoned Pepper; salt as desired. Using the square slider, non-stuffing, side of TS Burger Press, form into 24 patties (about 1⅓ ounces). Set aside.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place patties in skillet, in batches if needed. Pan-fry, turning once, until internal temperature reaches 165°F on an instant-read food thermometer, about 2-3 minutes. Top each patty with a quarter slice of cheese; cover, if needed, to help melt cheese.
  3. Spread 1 teaspoon TS House Sauce on the bottom of 18 buns and the top of 6 buns (12 bun tops will have no sauce).
  4. Top 12 bottom buns with half the onions (1 teaspoon each), half the lettuce (1 tablespoon each) and 1 slider. Place top and bottom half of the 6 buns, sauce-side-up, over sliders. Top with remaining onions, lettuce, pickles, sliders and 12 unsauced top buns.
  5. If desired, lightly brush slider bun tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Makes 6 servings.

Make Ahead & Freeze: Prepare step 1. Place in a gallon freezer bag between sheets of wax paper. Place cheese slices in a quart freezer bag. Place both bags in a gallon freezer bag. Seal well, label and freeze. Optional: Place slider rolls in a gallon freezer bag, seal well, label and freeze with sliders. Thaw completely. Continue with step 2.
