Ingredients

  • 1 package Absolutely Almond Pound Cake Mix™
  • ¾ cup water
  • ¾ cup applesauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 1½ cups skim milk
  • 1 (1 ounce) package sugar-free vanilla-flavored instant pudding mix
  • 1 (8 ounce) container zero-sugar frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries

Directions

  • IMPORTANT: Our Pound Cake Formulas have changed. If your box has the maroon logo and NO egg in the preparation directions, follow the 2nd set of directions below.
  1. Prepare Absolutely Almond Pound Cake Mix according to package directions using water, applesauce and egg. Cool completely. Cube.
  2. In large bowl, combine milk and pudding mix; whisk 2 minutes. Fold in whipped topping until well combined.
  3. In a trifle dish, large glass serving bowl, or individual trifle bowls, layer half the cake cubes, half the pudding mixture and half the berries. Repeat layers.
  4. Refrigerate, covered, 1 hour.

    Amazing Trifle

    I have made this desert and taken it to several events. It get rave reviews from everyone! It is so easy to make. If you don't want to make it low calorie you can just use the box instructions and it is just as good!
