Loved these legs!
I'm a big fan of the Dill Pickle Dip, and I really worried that I'd be upset that I used a package of dip mix for chicken, but it was AMAZING! I seriously should have made a double batch for our group of 10. Everyone got one, but I think everyone would have ate 2 legs each!

Great on the Grill!
Prepared these as a freezer meal, grilled them yesterday. WOW, these were good. My gas grill cooks a little slower than my charcoal grill so I left the drumsticks on 15 minutes longer because my family likes the skin really crispy. The sugar from the orange juice browns the drumsticks nicely. I will be making this again trying bone-in chicken thighs.

Drummies to go!
My kids LOVE cold chicken Drummies. My thought was that this would be a great alternative for lunches for my kids for school than lunch meat which they are not fans of.
The flavor was sweeter than I expected but kids loved it!

Also works with chicken breasts!
I switched up this recipe and used chicken breasts instead of drumsticks. I also made 1/2 in the oven and grilled the other 1/2. Honestly, the oven chicken was very good. I think what made the grilled version so much better was that the sugar from the OJ in the marinade burned a little and created a punch of extra flavor in the bites with grill marks.
Also, personally, the marinade-turned-sauce was not a hit. I'm a huge fan of Dill Pickle Dip Mix, but I won't make the sauce again.
This wasn't my favorite TS recipe, but I wanted to share that you can make it with chicken breasts if you don't have drumsticks on hand. I hope my tips were helpful!
