Ingredients

  • 1 package Absolutely Almond Pound Cake Mix™
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • All-purpose flour
  • 4 (7 ounce) packets ready-to-use decorating cookie icing in desired colors (such as Betty Crocker®)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, combine first 3 ingredients. Knead dough until it forms a smooth ball.
  2. Lightly flour a clean working surface. Place dough on floured surface. Roll out to a 12x12-inch square. Cut into 36 squares.
  3. Place 12 squares on a large baking sheet. Bake 7-9 minutes or until lightly browned on edges. Remove from oven. Cool on baking sheet 1 minute. Remove to a cooling rack. Cool completely.
  4. Decorate cookies as desired for your specific game day, such as jerseys, end zones, yard lines, basketball court, football, basketball, helmets, etc. The options are endless.
