Ingredients
- 1 package Absolutely Almond Pound Cake Mix™
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- All-purpose flour
- 4 (7 ounce) packets ready-to-use decorating cookie icing in desired colors (such as Betty Crocker®)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, combine first 3 ingredients. Knead dough until it forms a smooth ball.
- Lightly flour a clean working surface. Place dough on floured surface. Roll out to a 12x12-inch square. Cut into 36 squares.
- Place 12 squares on a large baking sheet. Bake 7-9 minutes or until lightly browned on edges. Remove from oven. Cool on baking sheet 1 minute. Remove to a cooling rack. Cool completely.
- Decorate cookies as desired for your specific game day, such as jerseys, end zones, yard lines, basketball court, football, basketball, helmets, etc. The options are endless.
- Makes 36 cookies.
- Make Ahead: Prepare through step 3 up to 2 days ahead. Decorate up to 2-3 hours ahead.
