Fabulous Crème Brulèe Bread Pudding Recipe
This bread pudding is off-the-chart delicious and so easy to make.
- 6 cups cinnamon swirl bread, cubed
- 1 apple, peeled and chopped (optional)
- ½ cup raisins (optional)
- 3 eggs
- 3 cups half & half
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- ½ cup pecans, chopped (optional)
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9 x 13 pan; fill with bread cubes and raisins/apples, if using. Make the custard by whisking together the eggs, half & half and packet 1 from the crème brulèe mix; pour over the bread cubes. Let stand 20 minutes (can be refrigerated overnight). Blend contents of packet 2 with the melted butter; drizzle over top of bread pudding. Top with pecans, if desired. Bake 40-45 minutes.
