Classy Chocolate Whoopie Pies Recipe
This fluffy and light dessert is simple to whip up when you need a little sugar high.
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 egg
- 10 oz. jar fudge sauce
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350°. Combine first 3 ingredients in a large bowl; stir to blend. Drop dough by heaping tablespoons onto a greased baking sheet to make 12 “cookies.” Smooth tops evenly and shape cookies into a round shape with a spoon if needed. Bake 12-14 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool cookies completely. Combine chocolate sauce and powdered sugar; stir until smooth. Spread an equal amount of powdered sugar filling on each of 6 cookie bottoms. Press a second cookie bottom on top of cream filling to form a sandwich. Chill until served.
Rated 5 out of 5 by LRGB from Chocolate biscotti Delish, but I added dried crashed and it added a great tasty, fruity, and chewy flavor. I might say it made a good thing better.
