Berry Good! Scone Mix Preparation Recipe

  • Berry Good!™ Scone Mix
  • 4 Tbsp. (1/2 stick) melted butter
  • 1/2 cup (4 oz.) milk

Preheat oven to 400°. Combine Scone Mix, butter and milk in a large bowl; stir until dough forms. Pat dough into a circle about 1 inch high on a greased baking sheet. Moisten fingers with water if necessary. Sprinkle contents of small Sugar Packet over scones. Bake 14-15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool; cut into wedges. May be served warm. Makes about 10 servings. Variations: • Yogurt Berry Good! Scones: Substitute 1 cup vanilla yogurt for butter and milk. Sprinkle with sugar if desired. Bake as directed. • For individual scones: Place heaping tablespoonfuls of dough onto greased baking sheet; flatten slightly. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake 11-14 minutes. Makes about 12 scones. Suggestion: • Stir in ½ cup dried cranberries, pecans or walnuts and/or 1 teaspoon grated orange or lemon zest.
