Banana Chocolate Chip Bread Mix Preparation Recipe
Just add butter and water for delicious banana bread dotted with chocolate chips.
- ¾ cup (1½ sticks) melted butter, cooled to room temperature
- 1 cup water
Preheat oven to 325°. Combine ingredients in a large bowl. Do not over mix; batter will be lumpy. Spread batter into a greased 9 x 5 loaf pan. Bake 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely before slicing. Makes about 10 servings. Lighten it up: Use 6 oz. plain or Greek yogurt instead of butter. High altitude: Increase water by 2 Tbsp. and add ½ cup flour. More ways to mix it up: - Prepare with 2 mashed bananas in place of butter. - Stir ½ cup peanut butter chips, butterscotch chips or chopped nuts into the batter. - For 2 mini loaves, reduce bake time by 5-10 minutes. - For banana cake, spread batter into a greased 8 x 8 baking pan; bake 42-45 minutes. Cool completely. Blend ½ cup canned white frosting with 1/3 cup peanut butter, swirl over cooled cake.

I made this mix into mini muffins and they were delicious! One box made 47 minis! I didn't use liners, just sprayed my nonstick pan. Perfectly done in 12 minutes @ 325 for me. I may eat them all today...

Wow, lots of butter, so very buttery, but also has a strong banana flavor with lots of yummy chocolate chips. The bread was gone in 2 days. i got to taste it only one time. This bread was a big hit in my household. TS you did it again. Another winner.
