Amaretto Cherry Coffee Cake Recipe
With the addition of the crunch topper, this coffee cake with be a brunch sensation!
- 2/3 cup + 1 Tbsp. water, divided
- 7 Tbsp. melted butter, divided
- 15.5 oz. can pitted dark sweet cherries, well drained
Preheat oven to 350°. In medium bowl combine cake mix, 2/3 cup water and 5 Tbsp. butter. Blend with a whisk until combined. Pour batter into a greased 8 x 8 baking pan. Gently press cherries into batter. Combine topper with 2 Tbsp. butter and 1 Tbsp. water. Mix with a fork until small crumbles form. Sprinkle topping over cherries. Bake 40-45 minutes until golden brown or a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool and serve. Makes about 9 servings.
