It seems that every year, some food or food additive comes out as the new bad boy: Trans fats are bad. Eggs are bad. No, wait … eggs are good? What about MSG? Food dyes? It’s hard to keep up.

Most of us have asked the question, “Do ingredients really matter?” I’m going to say that the bottom line is yes. Ingredients do matter. Our bodies tend to like things that come from the earth, and balk a bit at things that come from laboratories.
