Join the Bite Club
What’s the first rule of Bite Club? You tell EVERYONE about the Bite Club! So what is it, exactly? Simply this: Combine any (or all!) of Tastefully Simple’s simple, delicious pound cake mixes with the clever Silicone Bar Pan and you can create an almost endless number of variations of individualized mini-cakes customized for everyone’s taste. Who wouldn’t want to join THAT club? I love the Silicone Bar Pan so much that I have three of them. They are so versatile: use it for cakes, brownies, bars, Bountiful Beer Bread, even individual servings of baked mac & cheese, egg dishes and more. But the most fun you can have with this little wonder has to be creating a mini cake buffet or even a DIY dessert party. Not long ago I got out all my Silicone Bar Pans, a box each of Absolutely Almond Pound Cake MixClassy Chocolate Pound Cake Mix and Sunny Lemon Pound Cake & Icing Mix. Then I scrounged the pantry for fun mix-ins and toppers. I just filled each well of the Silicon Bar Pan 3/4 full of batter. Then I use a toothpick to swirl in my additions to make such goodies as:
  • Cherry Nut: mini cherry chips and crushed walnuts in Absolutely Almond Pound Cake batter
  • Chocolate Raspberry: a splash of raspberry syrup stirred into Classy Chocolate Pound Cake batter; I frosted the completed cake with chocolate ganache and topped with fresh raspberriesjoin the bite club blog post | Tastefully Simple
  • Lemon Blueberry: Two or three fresh blueberries mixed into Sunny Lemon Pound Cake batter; the finished cake was topped with the included lemony icing and drizzled with blueberry syrupjoin the bite club blog post | Tastefully Simple
Let your imagination run wild when it comes to inventing your own mini cake flavors. Try a swirl of peanut butter or handful of mini peanut butter chips, flaked coconut or toffee bits in the batter or as a topper, a dollop of Rhubarb Strawberry Fruit Spread or Creamy Caramel Sauce in the batter, a half teaspoon of mint or orange flavoring stirred in … the possibilities are endless. The next time you’ve got a hankering for a sweet time, invite the gang over for a meeting of the Bite Club!
