Heart Shaped Pizza

Valentine's Day is what I call a "Fun Food" holiday, because you get to experiment with all manner of heart-shaped foods. Plus, heart-shaped foods can be romantic ... but they don't have to be! Even if you don't have a significant other you can still have fun making something for a friend or relative or even a random act of kindness for an elderly neighbor or service person.

So today - try this fun and festive heart-shaped pizza! My daughter and I had a blast making this! We experimented with various cutters and veggies and then we got to surprise dad and eat our masterpiece!

Hearts and hugs from me to you!

Bake additional 10-15 minutes or until heated through. Crust will be thick and chewy. Makes 6-8 servings. *or Savory Wheat Beer Bread Mix

Tips and Hints

  • I pre-baked the heart-shaped crust as directed, then took it out of the pan, added the toppings and finished baking it on a cookie sheet. I was worried that getting it out of the pan might ruin my masterpiece if I waited until the end.
  • You will likely have more sauce than you need ... but 8 oz. isn't enough. Plan to use the extra sauce for dipping pizza crusts!
  • This was both fun and delicious, and it was a great activity to do with my daughter.
