Cherry Wild Rice Beer Bread

This recipe is based on a bread I loved when I was vacationing with my family in northern Minnesota, where they serve wild rice EVERYTHING! I love to bake, so I decided to make a Tastefully Simple version of this recipe. I love getting recipe ideas from our website because I know that the baking time will be minimal and I don't have to hunt down all the ingredients. And I just love new recipes ... I can spend hours going through cookbooks and then revising the recipe to suit my family, and I love finding ways to recreate our favorite restaurant dishes (like this bread). I have shared this recipe with several people, and we all agree - it's a winner!

Tips and Hints

  • If you're baking Bountiful Beer Bread Mix® at a high altitude, add 2 tablespoons water.
  • I used wild rice from a can. Of course, you could always cook up a batch yourself!
  • I melted butter on the top of the bread is optional, but I always use it because it adds such great color and flavor!
  • Dried cranberries instead of the cherries would also be great.
